What to expect

A unique cooking experience to discover typical Sicilian flavours. You will be welcomed as one of the family to dive into the daily traditions of Southern Italy and experience grandmother’s typical Sicilian recipes.

We will start the Sicilian cooking lesson in the vegetable garden. Together we will pick vegetables according to their seasonality and discover the colours, scents and flavours of our land.

We will go to the kitchen where our Chef Annalisa will take us on a journey through time to rediscover her grandmother’s Sicilian recipes. Between one story and another, we will learn how to prepare 4 of our grandmother’s typical Sicilian recipes (starter, first course, second course and dessert) from scratch and experience the true traditional Sicilian cuisine.

We will follow and carry out each step of the recipes, from fresh homemade pasta to seasonal desserts, discovering stories handed down through generations and unmistakable flavours reborn from the past.

We will end the cookery course on grandmother’s Sicilian recipes on a high note! We will share every dish we make at the table and enjoy a genuine lunch in a breathtaking location while sipping on strictly local wine. Water and wine are included.

The Food Expert:

The history of our family has been linked to these lands for three generations, since grandfather Alfonso, an ancient oil merchant, bought the first hectares in the early 1960s and fulfilled his dream of planting an olive grove. It is here that we make our Sicilian extra virgin olive oil PGI, cold extracted from carefully selected olives, harvested by hand and milled within 12 hours.

The farmer, olive oil sommelier, will guide you to discover this extraordinary gift of land and human work, expressing conviviality and culture in a liquid state. You can also take part in memorable cookery courses on Granny’s Sicilian recipes in a unique location!

Cancellation policy: all bookings for the cooking lesson to discover the best Sicilian recipes can be cancelled within 3 days from the start date of the experience. Read the Terms and Conditions.

Over time, although engaged in other activities, we have never been able to resist the call of this magical place, so much that in 2010 we decided to enlarge the property and create a farmhouse immersed in rural Sicily. An ancient farmhouse dating back to the late eighteenth century, immersed in the quiet of a timeless landscape surrounded by olive trees, carob trees and prickly pears. A magical place where you can find the balance between body and mind, let yourself be guided to the discovery of ancient traditions and savour simple and genuine food.
