If you enjoy walking, the Monferrato offers endless opportunities to wander through its trails up and down the hills covered with vineyards and the immense green. The view spans over small hamlets while the impressive peaks of the Alps stand out on the background.
The tour starts with a visit to an “Infernot”, an underground cave digged into a type of stone of marine origins and listed in the Unesco World Heritage Sites, where wine was stored. The walking trail of about 3 hours runs around the village of Terruggia and it makes you appreciate the surrounding landscape and the natural beauty.
Once back in the village, you will be delighted by a tasty and traditional food break with a glass of local wine.

End your short break among art, nature and food by visiting the Sacred Mount of Crea, the route along the tree-lined path winds through 23 chapels and 5 hermitages up to the Paradise Chapel.
Then get down to the Po River and the valley where the view wanders over the never-ending line of the rice fields.
