What to expect

For more than a century now, we have lived the daily routine and poetry of the San Miniato truffle hunt. It is on the basis of this experience of many years that we organise the truffle hunting and tasting experience in the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

The team, consisting of an experienced truffle hunter with his dog, a truffle dealer and a restaurateur, will guide you through the discovery and tasting of the prized San Miniato white truffle.

We will explain more about the world of truffles, the different types, the hunt and training of dogs, how truffles are grown, how to search for them, how to cook them and when the San Miniato Truffle Festival takes place.

Afterwards, a visit to the truffle hunter’s house and a welcome toast await you. We will then move on to the tasting of the San Miniato truffle at the restaurant adjacent to our shop. While booking, you can choose between:

Light lunch

• Welcome: welcome toast with a glass of prosecco wine
• Starter: mixed crostini with truffle sauces
• First course: Tagliolino with San Miniato truffle, collected during the excavation process
• Drinks: a glass of Tuscan wine, water and coffee

Full lunch

• Welcome: welcome toast with a glass of Prosecco
• Starter: mixed croutons with truffle sauce
• First course: Tagliolino with San Miniato truffle, collected during the excavation process
• Main course with a choice of: fried egg with truffle and a side dish of mashed potatoes, pork tenderloin with truffle and truffle beans, gourmet potato flan with truffle and a side dish.
