Italia Delight is the place where the best Italian food & wine Experts meet and share their knowledge with food & wine lovers from around the world. We select our professionals and companies with great care and attention, particularly with regard to their craftsmanship and hospitality.
How does it work?
Are you a food & wine lover or a traveller? Search for an experience by location or product (e.g. Turin or wine), browse food & wine activities with our Experts and select your favourite experience. Book a date and pay safely on the website. Do not worry! You will receive a 100% refund if the Expert does not confirm your reservation.
Are you an Italian food & wine Expert? Share your passion for Italian food & wine with travellers from around the world! Tell us more about your work by email: firstname.lastname@example.org. We will review your application and get back to you as soon as possible. Create authentic food & wine experiences (visits, tastings, workshops in your farm, cooking classes, other activities including overnight stay, etc.). As an Expert, you can manage programme, price per person and dates of your own experiences.

What is a food & wine experience?
Tasting: guided tour with the Expert, who will welcome you and introduce you to his work. You will learn the secrets, craft techniques and history of his products. He will share this ancient knowledge that makes Italian food & wine culture so unique. The visit can be combined with a tasting.
Cooking classes: during this experience, our food & wine Expert will make you develop your skills. You will expand your knowledge and share his passion, his culture, his will to represent his own territory. It will be a unique holiday experience.
Day tours: an experience that will refine your taste, will lead you to the discovery of a territory, will involve you in unusual activities with our Experts. You will enjoy a unique and immersive experience in the Italian food & wine culture.
Foodie breaks: unique experiences designed to give you an unforgettable food and wine weekend in Italy. They are carefully selected by our team to offer you itineraries that combine food and wine and local activities such as wine tasting with sommeliers, cultural tours, and much more.
Food holidays: food and wine holidays created directly by Italia Delight’s Local Experts. These are food and wine itineraries in Italy designed and managed by tour operators and travel consultants carefully selected by our team to offer you unforgettable food and wine trips.
Who can be an Expert?
Italia Delight is open to all Italian food & wine professionals and companies: farms, olive oil mills, breweries, wineries, pastry chefs and ice-cream makers, food processing companies, workshops and craft shops, sommeliers and other professional tasters.
Italia Delight also selects the best Italian tour operators and travel agencies as Local Experts to offer travellers food & wine experiences or “hybrid” experiences, combining food and wine with other local activities (excursions, guided visits to museums and places of interest, nature sports or spa activities, overnight stays, etc.). Local Experts also provide tailor-made experiences and activities.
How do we select our Experts?
Craftsmanship and hospitality are of great value to us.
Our criteria for selection:
- Originality: the experience must be original and interesting.
- Quality: the experience must be well structured.
- Territory: the experience must be an expression of local territories and typical productions, encouraging their sustainable development.
- Hospitality: the experience must be an expression of hospitality, introducing visitors to the beauty and history of a territory.
Who sets the price for experiences?
Experts are free to set the price for their experiences. Italia Delight does not interfere in that decision.
Booking an experience
How do I book an experience?
Travellers search for an experience by location or product, select their favourite experience and submit a reservation request easily and securely on the website.
Experts have 24 hours from the time a request is made (excluding weekends) to accept or decline it. If the Expert declines the request or does not respond within 24 hours, your request will be cancelled and you will get a full refund.
If the reservation request is accepted, the traveller will receive an email notification from Italia Delight with all details of the reservation and the Expert’s contact information.
Why should I confirm reservations within 24 hours?
In order to offer an efficient and high-quality service, Experts should give travellers an immediate response to their reservation request.
For that reason, Experts have 24 hours to accept or decline a reservation request. At weekends, this time is suspended until next Monday. Therefore, if a reservation request is submitted at 3.00 p.m. on Friday, the Expert will have until next Monday at 3.00 p.m. to reply before the request expires. If the Expert declines the request or does not respond within that time, the traveller will get a full refund.
Can I give an experience as a gift?
Yes, you can give a Gift Experience Italia Delight!
Gift Experience: search for the experience you prefer and request your experience to be given as a gift using the “Do you need information” form on the page describing your preferred experience. You will immediately receive all the information you need to get your personalised gift voucher.
The Gift Experience is a gift voucher with a numeric code to be used on www.italiadelight.it to book experiences. After purchase, it can be sent to your e-mail address or to the e-mail address of the gift recipient. The Gift Experience contains the code number to be used when booking.
_ the Gift Experience cannot be combined with other cards or promotions.
_ the Gift Experience can be used in one solution.
_ the Gift Experience is not personal and is transferable.
_ the Gift Experience is valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.
_ failure to redeem the Gift Experience by the expiry date will not entitle the recipient to a credit or a replacement award or any other type of compensation.
_ the Gift Experience is not redeemable for cash and does not give the right to change.
_ In the event of loss or theft, no refund will be possible.

What methods of payment does Italia Delight accept?
Travellers can pay their experiences through the Stripe platform, using credit or debit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express or other payment methods accepted by the platform itself.
Your payment is safe! We use an internationally recognised and completely secure online payments platform: Stripe protects you from fraud and unauthorised transactions by encrypting your payment information.
I am Expert: how do payments work?
Italia Delight will transfer to your bank account the price that you have set for your experience (Price of Experience), withholding our service fee. The money will be released to the bank account indicated by the Expert. The time it takes for the money to arrive in the account depends on the Expert’s bank.
We will begin the payment process immediately after the reservation is confirmed or, at the latest, 24 hours after the end of the Experience.
Experts should give travellers a payment receipt based on the Total Price of Experience.
Cancelling a reservation
How do I cancel my reservation?
If the traveller cancels a reservation at least 72 hours before the experience starts, he/she will receive a full refund of the Price of Experience, less the transaction management fees (5% of the total amount).
If the traveller cancels a reservation less than 72 hours before the experience starts, he/she will not be entitled to any refund. The Expert will receive 100% of the Price of Experience.
How do I edit my information about an experience?
Send an email to email@example.com specifying the information that you want to edit.
Italia Delight will notify the Expert that the information has been updated.
What should I do if I have a problem during an experience?
If the traveller does not cancel and does not show up for the experience, he/she will not receive any refund and the price paid by the traveller will be transferred to the Expert’s account.
If the Expert does not cancel and does not show up for the experience, the traveller will receive a refund.
We work every day to prevent travellers and Experts from having negative experiences. However, considering that problems and bad experiences are a possibility, we provide a customer service team to help our users. What happens if someone is injured during an experience?
Our selection does not include dangerous experiences.
That said, Experts create and host their own experiences. Experts are therefore responsible for what happens to travellers during their experiences.
We suggest that travellers should choose experiences according to their attitudes and health condition.
