Enjoy a unique food and wine experience discovering Vesuvius wine, a stone’s throw from the Archaeological Site of Pompeii. Visit the historic estate and the wine cellar where amphora wines are produced. Have lunch in the bistro tasting the flavours of Vesuvius paired with fine wines.

What you’ll do

  • Stroll through the estate’s vineyards
  • Visit the historical structures – including a necropolis dating back to 79 AD and a farmhouse dating back to 1780 where Vesuvius wine is currently being produced in amphorae
  • Visit the wine cellar and taste fine wines
  • Enjoy a menu based on traditional Campania foods with 4 Vesuvian wines

What to expect

Take part in a guided tour to discover the authentic Vesuvius wine inside the four hectares of our winery among history, vineyards and elegant facilities.

Agronomic studies are now in progress on our soil, in order to introduce a company land zoning to mention in future wines. For this reason, in our wine cellar we have small steel silos where Vesuvius wine coming from each parcel rests separately.

The food and wine tour consists in the following stages: we will visit the vineyards, the historical structures – including a necropolis dating back to 79 AD and a 18th century farmhouse where amphora winemaking  is currently under way – and the wine cellar.

Later, we will taste Vesuvius wine together.

We will end our visit in the small bistro inside the winery, where you will taste a menu based on typical products from the area around Vesuvius.

  • Welcome to the winery: tasting of extra virgin olive oil PDO with bruschetta
  • Appetiser: Provolone del Monaco cheese and jam, Neapolitan salami, prosciutto crudo, smoked scamorza cheese and breadsticks
  • First: Pacchero from Gragnano drawn in bronze (a type of pasta) with Piennolo del Vesuvio tomatoes and basil
  • Sweet: babà with limoncello and custard
  • 4 Wines: Falanghina sparkling wine Charmat method, Falanghina wine, Vesuvio Doc Lacryma Christi white and Vesuvio Doc Lacryma Christi red wine.

The Food Expert: our winery, located a few steps from the Archaeological Site of Pompeii, is the result of the will of the founder and his dream to create a company that produces wine as an expression of the history and terroir of these volcanic lands. History is our future: between experimental vineyards and amphora winemaking, our winery has a forward-looking approach, but with roots in the past. The winery houses a resort and a bistro, where the guests can enjoy a sensory experience to discover our wines, the Pompeiano IGT and the Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio DOC.

Our winery, located a few steps from the Archaeological Site of Pompeii, is the result of the will of the founder and his dream to create a company that produces wine as an expression of the history and terroir of these volcanic lands.

A territory characterised for millennia by the presence of a volcano, the Vesuvius, which has represented and represents an important element for all human activities in the area. The Vesuvius, in fact, the only active volcano in continental Europe, has made the soils particularly interesting for agricultural activities. The volcanic soils are rich in ashes and lapilli, potassium and micro elements. These characteristics, together with the climatic regulation of the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea, give the wines unique minerality, freshness and complexity, which have made the wine from Campania famous all over the world.
