What to expect

This small Tuscan village is famous for the prized San Miniato white truffle. Together with the truffle hunters and their dog, you will take part in a truffle hunting experience in San Miniato in a fascinating natural environment.

An exciting time to discover the San Miniato white truffle and its prized characteristics. In fact, in San Miniato truffles are synonymous with excellence: in this village located in the heart of Tuscany at 140 metres above sea level, the largest truffle (2,520 grams!) was found in the 1950s. San Miniato white truffle is also famous for its great quality, due to the fertility of the woods and respect for the environment in which it is harvested.

After the San Miniato truffle hunting experience, it’s off to the wine cellar to learn the secrets of biodynamic winemaking. Our passion is indeed biodynamics. Farming according to the biodynamic method means not only excluding the use of chemical and synthetic fertilisers. It also means regenerating the soil and plants through biological activators, which help them find their nourishment in the soil itself.

In the kitchen, we will talk about white truffle and its characteristics, learning their secrets and preparation.

Last but not least, wine and San Miniato truffles. All together around the table for a delicious lunch in the villa paired with our wines.

The Food Expert:

The winery is located on the hills of San Miniato, an ancient medieval village in the heart of Tuscany in the Province of Pisa, along the route of the Via Francigena, land of wines and white truffles (the precious Tuber Magnatum).

The estate, owned by our family since 2000, covers a single hill, 40 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and arable land. Our vineyards are located about 100 metres above sea level. The grape varieties that we have been growing are typical of the Tuscan wine tradition, including the Sanforte, an almost disappeared native grape variety of which we have recovered the genetic heritage. We look forward to welcoming you to experience the excitement of San Miniato truffle hunting all year round, not just during the San Miniato Truffle Festival.

Cancellation policy: all bookings for the San Miniato Truffle hunting experience can be cancelled within 3 days from the start date of the experience. Read the Terms and Conditions.
