Tour to discover Modena food

Set off on a Modena tour to discover the excellence of the city: food & wine, motors and sport. Visit the family vinegar factory and taste the traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena. Follow the entire production chain and taste Parmigiano Reggiano. Visit the only winery with two internal museums and taste the excellent local wines.

What to expect

1. Acetaia

We will start the Modena tour in Castelfranco Emilia, in the family vinegar factory. You will learn about the ancient art of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO. We will show you the barrels where this extraordinary product rests. Together we will taste 4 types of pure Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO.

2. Cheese factory

Next, we will visit another interesting family business, which is located close to our vinegar factory in Modena. You will see the whole production chain: from the animals to the milking parlour and the cheese factory, up to the rooms where the Parmigiano cheese wheels rest for the maturing process.

At the end of our Modena food tour, we will taste together 2 ages of Parmigiano Reggiano (13 and 24 months), ricotta, tosone, primo sale and caciotta.

3. Winery

Would you like to continue the Modena tour to discover the local wines? We suggest you add a visit to a renowned family-run winery, very close to the cheese and vinegar factory, when you book.

You will visit the winery and two unique museums: one dedicated to agriculture with authentic pieces from all over Europe and the other focused on the main sporting collaborations of this family, in particular with the Scuderia Ferrari. In the museum, there are always at least two F1 cars, often including Gilles Villeneuve’s, some vintage cars and Marco Pantani’s bike. At the end of the Modena tour, we will taste 3 glasses of wine together.

After my first year of civil engineering at the University of Bologna, I decided to turn my father’s passion into a family activity, starting to sell this extraordinary Modenese product.

With 750 certified barrels for the maturation and aging of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO, our vinegar farm is among the largest in the Modena area. All family members play an important role in this activity, always united in the common goal of guaranteeing an excellent product to our customers, preserving craftsmanship and quality.
