What to expect
At our historic organic winery in Corato (Bari), we will visit the vineyard, where you will learn about the native grape varieties of the Murgia and the organic cultivation methods used in the winery. We will then enter the wine cellar to show you how production and ageing takes place.
Then, in a splendid Art Nouveau room from the turn of the century, we will begin the Apulian wine lesson under the guidance of the sommelier. You will taste four wines: a delicate fresh and fruity rosé, an organic white from pure Fiano grapes and two uncommon reds, artisans and suitable for ageing. You will taste local specialities such as Apulian focaccia with cherry tomatoes, Canestrato delle Murge pecorino cheese, salted ricotta, taralli, and extra virgin olive oil of the Coratina variety.

The Food Expert:
The origins of our family business, now entirely converted to organic methods, date back to 1628. In Corato, at about 300 metres above sea level, we grow vines that are native to the “Murgia” (The Murge plateau) north of Bari. “The Murgia” is an area which is particularly suited for the production of red and rosé wines. It is located on the slopes of Castel del Monte, the famous Norman octagonal castle built in the 13th century by the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II.
In the vineyards and wine cellar, each grape variety (Nero di Troia, Bombino Nero, Negroamaro, Aleatico and Fiano grapes) has its own vinification. We look forward to seeing you at the winery for an introductory course on Puglia wine!
Cancellation policy: all bookings for the Puglia wine course with sommelier can be cancelled within 3 days from the start date of the experience. Read the Terms and Conditions.

“The Murgia” is an area which is particularly suited for the production of red and rosé wines. It is located on the slopes of Castel del Monte, the famous Norman octagonal castle built in the 13th century by the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II.
Our family has owned the estate uninterruptedly for at least 3 centuries. In the vineyards and wine cellar, each grape variety (Nero di Troia, Bombino Nero, Negroamaro, Aleatico and Fiano grapes) has its own vinification.
In our 15-hectare estate, we also produce Coratina extra virgin olive oil, with its typical fruity and spicy taste.
