What to expect

We offer you an exciting Puglia wine course at our historic organic winery in Corato in the province of Bari.

This introductory wine course will take you on a discovery of the native grape varieties of the Murgia. The wine experience begins in the vineyards, where you will learn about the organic cultivation methods used on the farm.

After the tour in the countryside, which is the first part of our wine courses, we will enter the winery. We will show you how our fine Apulian wines are produced and aged.

Then, in a beautiful Art Nouveau room from the turn of the century, the Puglia wine course begins under the guidance of a professional sommelier.

You will taste four wines from our own production: a delicate, fresh and fruity rosé, a well-structured organic white wine from pure Fiano grapes and an uncommon red wine, crafted and suitable for ageing. There will also be delicious local foods such as Apulian focaccia with cherry tomatoes, pecorino canestrato delle Murge, salted ricotta and artisanal taralli.

During the Puglia wine courses, you will also taste another Apulian delicacy: our Coratina extra virgin olive oil, with its fruity and spicy flavour.

The Food Expert:

The origins of our family business, now entirely converted to organic methods, date back to 1628. In Corato, at about 300 metres above sea level, we grow vines that are native to the “Murgia” (The Murge plateau) north of Bari. “The Murgia” is an area which is particularly suited for the production of red and rosé wines. It is located on the slopes of Castel del Monte, the famous Norman octagonal castle built in the 13th century by the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II.

In the vineyards and wine cellar, each grape variety (Nero di Troia, Bombino Nero, Negroamaro, Aleatico and Fiano grapes) has its own vinification. We look forward to seeing you at the winery for an introductory course on Puglia wine!

Cancellation policy: all bookings for the Puglia wine course with sommelier can be cancelled within 3 days from the start date of the experience. Read the Terms and Conditions.

“The Murgia” is an area which is particularly suited for the production of red and rosé wines. It is located on the slopes of Castel del Monte, the famous Norman octagonal castle built in the 13th century by the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II.

Our family has owned the estate uninterruptedly for at least 3 centuries. In the vineyards and wine cellar, each grape variety (Nero di Troia, Bombino Nero, Negroamaro, Aleatico and Fiano grapes) has its own vinification.

In our 15-hectare estate, we also produce Coratina extra virgin olive oil, with its typical fruity and spicy taste.
