What to expect
Join us for the most exciting time of the year and experience the magic of producing Sicily’s green gold.
We will meet at the farm in the early afternoon, equipped with work boots and gloves. Together we will go to the olive grove where the olive harvest will begin.
We will learn how olives are harvested, what the different varieties of cultivars are and how to recognise them by their shape, colour and taste. We will share with you forgotten traditional techniques and the fundamental cares handed down by our grandparents to preserve the quality of olive oil, from the care of the trees during the course of the seasons to the product harvested and ready for pressing.
Later, after a small energy snack, we will go to the olive oil mill to watch the transformation of the olives into oil, discovering the traditional way of milling the olives and following the entire production process of Sicilian olive oil.
We will then return to the farm to bring the harvesting experience to a festive close by taking part in a farmer’s dinner with vegetables from the garden, home-made preserves and the inevitable new olive oil, the fruit of our day’s work.

An ancient farmhouse dating back to the late eighteenth century, immersed in the quiet of a timeless landscape surrounded by olive trees, carob trees and prickly pears. A magical place where you can find the balance between body and mind, let yourself be guided to the discovery of ancient traditions and savour simple and genuine food.
