What to expect

We will welcome you to the farm and, with the herd manager, you will get to know our cows. You will discover with him the delicate phase of milking and talk about feeding the animals.

We will then move on to the dairy: here the freshly milked milk passes through the hands of the cheesemaker, who will tell you about the cheesemaking process for our raw milk cheeses and you will become a “cheesemaker for a day”. We make cheese and the protagonist will be you! At the end of the afternoon, a farmhouse snack with tasting of our cheeses awaits you.

Our masseria is a small farm: we breed animals in a semi-wild state and produce whole raw milk cheeses in the Sicilian peasant tradition.

We are located 10 km from Ragusa, on the Hyblean plateau, in a place open to all winds. Even winds of novelty, such as the renaissance of a masseria that is not only material, because with the masseria a massaro has also been reborn. A massaro is someone who guards a piece of land, working it and living on it.
