Day 1: Welcome to Italy
Let the adventure of the Italy road trip begin! Your journey starts at Fiumicino airport and at the car rental offices. You will collect your car and drive to Frascati to check-in into your accommodation.
Welcome dinner at “L’Oste della Bon’ora” in Grottaferrata.

Day 2: Winery tour in the Castelli Romani
Arrival at the winery in Monte Porzio Catone (Rome), where you will begin the guided tour of the winery, wine tasting and light lunch (local aperitif).
In the afternoon, your road trip through Italy continues with the guided tour of the picturesque village of Frascati, in the Castelli Romani area. Back to accommodation and dinner on your own.

Day 3: Explore Tivoli
Drive to Tivoli, stroll around the town of Tivoli, with Villa Adriana and Villa D’Este, two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. An unmissable stop for your Italy road trip around Rome!
Villa Adriana was the grandiose summer residence of Emperor Hadrian, dating back to the 2nd century AD. Villa D’Este is famous for its Italian gardens conceived and built in the Reinassance at the request of Ippolito D’Este. Dinner on your own in Tivoli. Back to accommodation in the evening.

Day 4: Food, Wine & Art in Piglio
Drive to Piglio, a picturesque village in the Monti Simbruini area in the province of Frosinone. Meet your guide for a tour of the town and a visit to the wine cellar where the famous Cesanese del Piglio wine is produced. Wine tasting and Light lunch.
In the afternoon, join the sweet donuts workshop. Drive back to your accommodation in the late afternoon and enjoy some free time. Dinner on your own.

Day 5: Sabina countryside
Spend the day in Sabina, the wonderful countryside near Rome! Meet a local farmer, have lunch in the farm and explore Sabina with our Expert (visit to the Abbey of Farfa and Abbey of Vescovio) and dinner on your own.

Day 6: Hazelnut and chocolate in Viterbo
Morning tour at a local hazelnut farm and chocolate workshop. Drive to explore the wonderful Tuscia area with Viterbo, “the city of Popes”, Bomarzo and Civita di Bagnoregio “the dying city”. This incredibly scenic territory offers many photo opportunities. Drive to your accommodation in the late afternoon, check-in and then head for dinner on your own.

Day 7: Civita di Bagnoregio
Morning visit to the unique and breathless town of Civita di Bagnoregio, the “dying city”. On your way back to Rome, the road trip to Italy includes a stop in Canino to discover the famous extra virgin olive oil. Have a tasting with the producer. In the afternoon drive back to Rome to check-in into your accommodation.

Day 8: Tour of Rome

- If for any reason the Italy road trip was cancelled 30 calendar days before arrival, there is a 75% penalty for the total trip amount and the balance payment is refunded.
- There is no refund for cancellations calendar 15 days before the date of the service(s).
No exceptions to these terms and conditions will be made by Italy road trip planner and we strongly recommend that you secure appropriate insurance for travel cancellations. No changes can be made once clients are in Italy. Read the Terms and Conditions of Italia Delight (art. 11).
