What to expect
How to make your own cheese? Learn all the secrets to make homemade cheese and ricotta.
We will welcome you to our farm to show you first of all the native Sicilian animals that we breed in a semi-wild state on the farm. You will then take a walk through the vegetable garden and orchard, where we will explain how we practice biodynamic farming.
After the walk, everyone gets down to work to learn how to make homemade cheese and tasty ricotta. The cooking class will begin with an explanation of the cheese making process.
You will start making you own cheese and homemade ricotta with rennet using our genuine sheep’s milk using the hot method. We will then enter the operational phase together to learn how to make Sicilian cheese and how to make fresh ricotta.
We will conclude the practical lesson with a convivial moment. We will taste the freshly made goodies together.
You can then have fun making homemade cheese and ricotta. I will no longer have any doubts about how to make Sicilian cheese (and more!).
