The Food Expert:
My passion is my land. I inherited it from my grandfather who in the early 1900s, in Civita Castellana in the Province of Viterbo, started a 40-hectare farm. In the 1980s after a study and training period in Piedmont, I decided to make changes to my family business by planting vines, olive trees and hazels. I produce hazelnut spreads, chocolate and two different extra virgin olive oils. For hazelnuts, Viterbo is an ideal place for a nature and taste trip!

My passion is my land. I inherited it from my grandfather who in the early 1900s, in Civita Castellana in the Province of Viterbo, started a 40-hectare farm, partly arable and partly pasture land.
In the 1980s after a study and training period in Piedmont, I decided to make changes to my family business by planting vines, olive trees and hazels. The Province of Viterbo is in fact the main hazelnut productive area in Italy: the most widespread variety is the “Tonda Gentile Romana”.
Inside the farm, I have recently opened an innovative workshop where I produce three hazelnut spreads with a high percentage of hazelnuts, small amounts of sugar and no added oils. Our hazelnuts are a blend of “Nocciola Gentile Romana”, “Nocchione” and “Nocciola Rosa”.
I also produce chocolate and two different extra virgin olive oils: one from Canino olives, very delicate and balanced, the other from a blend of Leccino, Maurino and Frantoio olives, with a more intense and bitter taste.
