What to expect
The wine tour in Chianti Rufina starts with a walk through the vineyards around the winery. Together we will make a brief introduction to the soil and the varieties of grapes and olives grown in this corner of Tuscany, just a stone’s throw from Florence.
You will learn about the history of the estate and visit the inner courtyards and private garden of the historic villa. We will then take you on a visit to the historic fermentation and ageing cellars, carved out of the rocks.
But this experience to discover the history of Chianti Rufina wine does not end here! The Chianti wine tour continues with a guided tasting of an old vintage, starting from 1982, chosen by the client. The bottle will be taken from the underground vault where the old family reserves are kept.
You will conclude the Chianti wine tasting experience with a taste of the territory. We propose a light lunch with a selection of local cured meats, cheeses and crostini. The different combinations will change according to the season with the addition of produce from our garden.
