What to expect

Enjoy the experience of discovering historic wineries in Barolo in the heart of the Langhe and take part in a Barolo tasting to compare the characteristics and scents that this famous wine acquires in different vintages.

You will have the opportunity to take part in our Barolo tastings and immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of Cannubi, and beyond. Cannubi is probably for the Barolo cellars one of the most complex and fascinating cru of the whole Barolo area. The uniqueness of this vineyard is encapsulated in the unique combination of the two main slopes (Helvetian and Tortonian) consisting mainly of fine sand, limestone, silt and clay.

Our Barolo Cannubi is made from our three vineyards located on the three main slopes of Cannubi.
of Cannubi. Each year the three vineyards are harvested and vinified separately in three wooden vats. Before storing the wines in the large oak barrels for ageing, depending on the weather of the year and the quality of the grapes from each vineyard, we proceed with Barolo tastings and choose whether to keep the three vineyards separate, blend them together or only partially. In some deserving vintages, we leave one of the vineyards alone to produce our Riserva Cannubi. Thus, each vintage gives us unique nuances that you can discover with us in the Barolo tasting.

The Food Expert:

We have been producing Barolo in the heart of Cannubi in the family since 1897. Even today, after 120 years of history and tradition, the winery maintains an absolutely familiar and entirely feminine character. In fact, we have been growing our vineyards with love for five generations, protecting an ancient profession, that of making wine, based on deep roots handed down from generation to generation.

You will take part in amazing Barolo wine tours to discover historic wineries and extraordinary wines! During the Barolo wine tasting, you will learn that this city means tradition and love of the land.

We have been producing Barolo in the heart of Cannubi in the family since 1897.

Cannubi is probably one of the most historic vineyards in our area. Its name was already mentioned in various documents starting from the 1700s. The oldest bottle found in the Langhe bears on the label the inscription “Cannubi 1752”.

Even today, after 120 years of history and tradition, the winery maintains an absolutely familiar and entirely feminine character. In fact, we have been growing our vineyards with love for five generations, protecting an ancient profession, that of making wine, based on deep roots handed down from generation to generation.

Our family, in addition to owning 3 hectares on the top of Cannubi, grows with passion its own as well as some other rented vineyards for a total of about 8 hectares, mainly located in the towns of Barolo, Novello and Diano d’Alba.

All the works, from pruning to thinning grape vines, to the selection of grapes before harvesting, are personally followed by the family, in order to obtain healthy and genuine grapes and make a wine that expresses every essence of its land. We use only natural products based on copper and sulphur, we practice grassing and we have eliminated herbicides, pesticides and chemical fertilisers.
