Aperitif between history and innovation

Entering our eighteenth-century wine cellar means taking a dip into history and modernity.

We will start the visit showing you the most historical part of the cellar, where we keep our precious jewels, barrels of French oak. In this suggestive atmosphere, you will learn the winemaking techniques that we use in the winery and long ageing process of our wine.

We will taste together two wines, paired with a small buffet of Italian cold cuts and “bruschetta” (slices of toasted bread) with our extra virgin olive oil.

The Expert Michele: our winery dates back to 1742 and, after a conservative and innovative renovation at the same time, today it is an example of modernity and history, elegance and practicality where producing high-quality wines seems almost a moral obligation. In the most historical part of the cellar, the wine, silent and undisturbed, rests in French oak barrels during the long ageing process.

Our winery dates back to 1742 and, after a conservative and innovative renovation at the same time, today it is an example of modernity and history, elegance and practicality where producing high-quality wines seems almost a moral obligation.

Our family, originally from Umbertide in the Upper Tiber Valley for generations, in order to enhance the value of a territory with great potential, bought in the late 1990s what, in the memory of the inhabitants of this place, has always been part of the residence of Count Bertanzi.

With dedication, over the years we have maintained and partly re-planted vines, with the desire to keep the varieties handed down from generation to generation. In the most historical part of the cellar, the wine, silent and undisturbed, rests in French oak barrels during the long ageing process.

Our vineyards appear geometric, harmonious and similar to a garden, where the precision of daily care is visible.
